1. On Friday, December 5, one of our neighbors was arriving home about 10:00 PM. A red pickup (license no. 5XE 591) was parked at the entrance to Serenade Lane. Three teenage boys and a teenage girl were standing around the pickup. Asked what they were doing, they said they had come to visit a friend from further down Harlow Road. When told that this friend hasn't lived in the community for quite some time they seemed disconcerted and changed their story, saying they had run out of gas and were waiting for the driver's mother to bring them some. The driver’s name was Shane and another boy was Tyler. Our neighbor went home and brought back a second person to find out more. At that point one of the boys and the girl had left and only two boys remained at the pickup. The kids were reportedly young teenagers.
This was reported to Neighborhood Watch and subsequently to the JC Sheriff’s Department.
2. On Wednesday, Dec. 3, two teenagers on motorbikes were joy-riding through the community and across private properties. They were not from our community and were asked to leave by two of our neighbors.
This incident was also reported to the JC Sheriff’s Department.
