Roadwork Update

Thanks to all the community members for their patience these past two weeks while "project restore side roads" was underway.  Over the last two weeks we successfully graded the side roads and spread gravel on every side road, including Ballad Lane.  In total we used 14 loads of gravel totaling nearly 280 tons. I was very pleased with the outcome considering it took a huge effort to coordinate and plan this project and then execute it as planned. Thanks also to those residents who allowed us to dump piles of gravel on the corners of their property so as to not block any lane access.  

FYI, we had to manually spread the gravel by loaders instead of dump truck tailgate spreading, as we had hoped. That made the task more labor intensive. There is too much overgrowth on the side lanes to allow dump trucks to raise their beds 30 feet in the air without damage to the truck. In the end, I feel the outcome was satisfying.
